Question

Dean Antilla, Wisconsin
Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint
$21,000

This sculpture floats out of the dream of unconsciousness, and calls us to examine our patterns of thought that define who we think we are, beckoning us towards a greater questioning. It is a reminder to self-examine our patterns, thoughts, actions, motives, and purpose for being here. This is a visual reminder of the human gift to question everything - who are we when all questions fall away?

Forged by his upbringing on the rugged North Shore of Lake Superior, Dean first went to work on the ore freighters, and engineered a 9-sided cabin with his hippie friends. Under the mentorship of painter/professor, Gerald Robinson, Dean was inspired to create oil paintings that delved into the mystic; these paintings are in both corporate and private collections. He then launched a life-ling career creating steel structures, including a large wind/solar effigy that graces the Midwest Renewable Energy Association headquarters in Custer, WI.
